From slavery to modern discrimination. (www.hrdaily.com.au) pic citation
Just like they were up to the 19th century, many people are still discriminated by their race. It isn't as large scale, but it's there. There are so many stereotypes about different races and cultures that are only true for a select few people of that descent. Even though people now can't own another person, some people still seem like they think that they are the superior race when really, no race is superior. Where you come from and who your ancestors were should never define who you are in anybody's eyes. Slavery does still exist in small third-world countries; there isn't much, but there is some left. The fact that blacks were once seen as not even being human, but more like animals, lead to alot of the modern discrimination that we have today.
